In day-to-day life, Japan does not always employ futuristic technology. Sure, there are bidet toilets, but there are also squat toilets (note: they are arguably more ergonomic than sit toilets when having a BM).



The only two exceptions I've found so far are stair climbing cleaning machines and Ritsumeikan University's classroom and printing facilities, which are far superior to those at AU.
