However, since we will be traveling by train/bus to and from Munich in a big loop, there was no need for us to meet the same weight specifications. So I brought the bigger backpack (a ULA Catalyst).
Footwear
I wanted to limit myself to two pairs of shoes, including a nicer pair for wearing with my dress.
- Teva sandals
- Sorel Lolla ankle boots (purchased for this trip)
- 2 short sleeve shirts
- 2 tank tops
- 1 puffy jacket, 1 rain jacket (hardly used!)
- 1 black dress
- 2 regular bras
- 1 sports bra
- 1 athletic short sleeve shirt
- 1 running skirt
- 1 pair running leggings
- 1 pair jeans
- 1 pair loose pants (for pyjamas or casual wear)
- 1 swimsuit
- 1 scarf
- 1 pair earmuffs (band kind--I also use it as a eye cover when sleeping in bright places)
- 1 visor
- 7 pairs of underwear
- 3 pairs of socks
Electronics
- Nexus Pixel 5X and charging cable (did you know you can use Google Fi data just about anywhere at the same rate as in the US?)
- iPad and Anker keyboard (for reading ebooks getting work done)
- Anker 4-port USB wall charger - very helpful since I only have one adapter and we have four gadgets between the two of us
- Pictured below that I did not end up taking: steripen, headlamp

Toiletries
- Mini soap, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, extra hairtie, razor, lip balm
- Toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, fluoride rinse
- Nail clipper, nail file (discarded)
- Mini first aid kit
Extras
- XXL PackTowl (I love the huge one because you can use it as a blanket as well)
- Roll-up ziplock bags for decompressing clothing (1 for dirty, 1 for clean)
- Platypus bottles
- Set and Quirkle
- Sea to Summit spork (for when you just need a utensil)
