Snow Lake is beautiful when there is snow! But it is also located in a high avalanche danger area so you need to be careful. Best is to go early in the season before too much snow accumulates.
Up to Snow Lake the trail is well-trafficked. However, if you want to continue on to Gem Lake after a new snow, you may find yourself breaking trail. In our case, sometimes we sunk up to our hips!
