I was fortunate to have my friend and her husband (same couple I went up Mt Adams with) invite me to join their rope team for Mt Rainier. We left early Saturday morning and hiked up to Camp Muir. We made camp and went to bed around 5pm after melting and Steripen-ing a lot of snow for water for our climb. My alarm woke us up at 10:30pm; we ate breakfast and began our summit bid along the DC route at midnight. After a beautiful sunrise (I didn't take any pictures, unfortunately) we made it to the top at 6am to chilly winds and clear skies.

Looking down to the trailhead on our way up to Camp Muir.

Beautiful wildflowers.

A sea of clouds, with Mt Adams in the distance.

Freezing cold at the summit!

A beautiful world from up high.

Groups on another route crossing the crater.

Headed back down.

We climbed that!
